Actress Choi Jung-yoon directly addressed the rumors about her past as a "Cheongdam-dong Daughter-in-law."

On the 19th, a video titled "Cheongdam-dong Daughter-in-law (?) Choi Jung-yoon's Eye Shopping Tour at a Cheongdam Furniture Store" was posted on her YouTube channel "Two Jobs Choi Jung-yoon."

In the video, Choi Jung-yoon headed to Cheongdam-dong and said, "I was planning to decorate my daughter Ji-woo's room as her sister's room, so I came out to look for pretty furniture as a start." She added, "In the past, I briefly had the nickname 'Cheongdam-dong Daughter-in-law.' The truth is, I've never lived in Cheongdam-dong. I've always said that, but the rumor that I was a Cheongdam-dong daughter-in-law has finally led me to actually go furniture shopping in Cheongdam-dong."

While looking at furniture with a space expert, she stated, "(My daughter) doesn't need to improve her grades, but I want to create a room where she can study hard."

Previously, she married Yoon Tae-jun, the eldest son of the vice chairman of the E-Land Group and a former member of the group Eagle Five, in 2011, and they had one daughter together, but they divorced in 2022. Her ex-husband was sentenced to prison for stock manipulation charges in the past.

Although she has been in the spotlight as a "chaebol family daughter-in-law," she has garnered attention for seriously considering taking on two jobs while contemplating her realistic livelihood after the divorce.

Through her channel, she shared, "Actors these days really have no work. I have had a dream of a stable income, so I have been thinking about what I can do besides acting for several years," and added, "I first tried to become a certified real estate agent but failed to obtain the license. I also thought about starting a bakery or food business, but people around me said it was a job for someone who committed sins in a past life," expressing her concerns about reality.

She revealed that she actually looked for jobs, saying, "I registered my resume on job sites to find something I could do while taking care of my daughter, but I often gave up because of age restrictions and mismatched schedules."

She continued, "In Seoul, housing prices are too high, so the best choice I made with my limited funds was Dongtan," and added, "Fortunately, housing prices have risen, and I have a strong attachment to my home. With fewer dramas, I feel like I'm gradually being forgotten. I have to raise my daughter for another 14 years, and I'm worried about whether I can keep working steadily until then," expressing her anxiety once again.
