MBC anchor Kim Su-ji revealed her struggles with severe morning sickness.
On the 15th, Kim Su-ji uploaded a video titled "Updates I Couldn't Share" on her YouTube channel 'Sooz World'.
In the video, Kim Su-ji explained that there were several reasons she couldn't actively engage with YouTube recently, stating, "It wasn't easy to balance 'News Desk' with vlogging. It wasn't so much a lack of time, but rather that the past six months haven't been a time to enjoy YouTube."
On the 14th, during her appearance on MBC's 'All-Seeing Companion', Kim Su-ji shared her pregnancy news for the first time, expressing her desire to inform her YouTube subscribers directly. "I confirmed my pregnancy around the end of February this year. Some of you might have noticed, 'Oh? Did she gain some weight?' My face has definitely filled out, and my belly is showing," she shared.
Kim Su-ji, who has been suffering from severe morning sickness, lamented, "I couldn't eat properly. Even while doing the news, I had to rush to the bathroom to throw up during the segment with my senior Jo Hyun-yong, and then come back to handle my part. I barely managed to endure this for almost three months during sports news."
Additionally, Kim Su-ji stated, "I couldn't say I was sick, and it's not a health issue. It's a change that comes with pregnancy, but since my condition wasn't good, I couldn't film or edit videos," expressing her disappointment that her daily life was not in a normal state.
Kim Su-ji, who joined MBC in 2017, has been active as the host of MBC's 'News Desk' since April last year. She married singer Han Ki-joo, who is three years her senior, after meeting on MBC's 'Oh My Partner' in 2022, and is expecting her first child in October.
