Actress Lee Da-hae revealed that she has recently lost her dog, Grayton.
On the 5th, Lee Da-hae posted on her Instagram, "The dog we loved so much... no, I still love him so much, and he will forever remain in my heart, our good boy Grayton has crossed the rainbow bridge," adding, "It has already been three months, but I still can't believe it. Until the last moment, he left my side looking so lovely and beautiful."
She expressed how difficult it was to accept the separation from her family-like pet, saying, "I was tormented and in pain with countless thoughts, and above all, I missed him so much... I think I cried every day," and continued, "Although it has been quite some time since I said goodbye to Grayton, even now, my phone's wallpaper, countless photos and videos in my albums, and every corner of my home are still filled with Grayton's traces."
She also vowed, "I won't force myself to erase him or hold back my tears... I will continue to keep him in my heart."
Worried about how he is doing without her, Lee Da-hae shared, "Still, believing in the saying 'we can meet again at the rainbow bridge,' I was able to smile a little bit," indicating that she has somewhat recovered mentally.
According to Lee Da-hae, Grayton had two stents implanted due to bronchial stenosis, and in the end, his larynx became paralyzed, making him unable to breathe on his own and reliant on an oxygen machine.
Lee Da-hae recalled, "Even in that moment when he was almost unconscious from painkillers and sleeping pills, he tried to lift his small body and come into my arms with all his might when he heard my voice, that look in his eyes... it was so painful and heartbreaking."
Wishing for him to be at peace on the other side of the rainbow bridge, she expressed her heartfelt feelings, saying, "Let's definitely meet again, Grayton. I love you, my baby."
Meanwhile, Lee Da-hae married singer Seven in 2023 after a public relationship of seven years.
The couple does not have children, and Lee Da-hae was raising her dog Grayton, whom she had before marriage.
