The court has decided to seize the apartments owned by Kim Se-hee (48), the head of the Garoseoro Research Institute, located in Seocho-gu and Gangnam-gu, Seoul, as well as his donation account. The creditors are actor Kim Soo-hyun (37) and his agency, Gold Medalist.
On the 11th, Kim Soo-hyun's legal representative, attorney Bang Seong-hoon from the law firm (limited) LKBN Partners, stated to Maeil Economic Star Today, "The seizure against the Garoseoro Research Institute has been approved."
He continued, "There are a total of two ongoing seizures," and explained, "The creditor who seized Kim Se-hee's personal real estate is his agency, Gold Medalist. Additionally, a seizure has also been placed on the Gaseyeon donation account, which involves both Gold Medalist and Kim Soo-hyun."
Earlier that day, Money Today reported that the Seoul Central District Court approved the seizure application for Kim's properties, including a 120.27㎡ apartment in Seocho-gu, Seocho Byeoksan Blooming, and a 208.65㎡ apartment in Apgujeong-dong, Gangnam-gu, on the 9th.
The Hanyang 4th apartment is co-owned (50% share) by Kim and his biological sister, so the seizure was only placed on Kim's ownership share. The claim amount is 2 billion won each, totaling 4 billion won.
However, Money Today reported that Kim has borrowed a significant amount of money against these apartments, making it difficult for the creditors to recover the full claim amount even if they proceed with enforcement.
Since March, Gaseyeon and Kim Soo-hyun's side have been engaged in legal battles related to the death of the late actress Kim Sae-ron. Gaseyeon claimed that Kim Soo-hyun had an inappropriate relationship with the deceased when she was a minor, while Kim Soo-hyun held a press conference to refute this, stating, "We dated for a year after she became an adult."
Subsequently, Kim Soo-hyun's side filed a criminal complaint and a lawsuit for damages amounting to 12 billion won against the family of Kim Sae-ron and Gaseyeon. Additionally, they filed further complaints against Kim Se-hee for violating the stalking punishment law.
The family of Kim Sae-ron has countersued Kim Soo-hyun for violations of the Child Welfare Act and false accusations.
