Chef Yoon Nam-no, who has expressed anger multiple times over the ‘restaurant reservation transfer’, insisted on fair reservations without exceptions for his family.

Chef Yoon Nam-ho revealed this strong conviction on the 350th episode of MBC’s ‘All-Seeing Companion’ aired on the 7th.

On that day’s broadcast, Chef Yoon was seen grilling meat with junior chefs at an Australian beef tasting event, where he invited his older brother and nephew. He was visiting Korea to see his brother while currently living abroad.

Yoon Nam-no said, “There’s a 7-year age gap with my brother,” and added, “When my brother was working his first job, he supported me while I was learning to cook. It was a tough time. He only spent 200,000 won of his salary,” moving everyone.

Jeon Hyun-moo asked, “How proud must he be now? Your brother must have a free pass to Yoon Nam-no’s restaurant,” to which Yoon Nam-no firmly replied, “That’s not possible. Reservations must be made fairly,” surprising everyone.

He shared, “My brother got upset about that once. He called me saying, ‘I’m trying to go to a restaurant with a friend,’ but I was too busy and just hung up saying, ‘No.’ He didn’t talk to me for a week because he was upset. It turned out he was on speakerphone with acquaintances at that time,” evoking sympathy.

He also confessed that he helped his sick mother run a Pyongyang cold noodle restaurant during his childhood, but it became a bitter memory, and he didn’t eat Pyongyang cold noodles until his mid-20s.

Yoon Nam-no added, “It was a dish I hated so much, but now it has become a dish I love. It’s not that I didn’t eat it because I hated it. I didn’t eat it because of the environment, the smell of boiling noodles, etc.”

Meanwhile, Yoon Nam-no gained fame by appearing on the Netflix survival cooking show ‘Black and White Chef’ as the ‘Cooking Fool’. Initially, he showed provocative behavior, but as time went on, he blended well with others and struggled with the judging comments, gaining popularity with a contrasting charm far from the fool concept. He was compared to a detail-obsessed chef and received reactions of fake madness, being a cooking ‘menhera’. The concept was just a fool, but in reality, he was a kind person to everyone.

After gaining fame, it became difficult to make reservations at the restaurant Yoon Nam-no runs, leading to expensive transfer posts appearing on second-hand trading platforms. At that time, Yoon Nam-no issued a strong warning through his social media.
