
Veteran actor Choi Jung-woo will be laid to rest today (29th).
The funeral will be held at 10 AM at the funeral hall of Our Hospital in Gimpo. The burial site is Suwon Yeonhwa Cemetery.
Choi Jung-woo passed away suddenly at the age of 68 on the 27th. The exact cause of death has not been disclosed.
Moon Hee-kyung posted on SNS on the 28th, “I sincerely pray for the repose of the deceased,” adding, “It’s so sad that I won’t be able to see your acting anymore. Just being in the same filming location was a source of strength for me, senior Choi Jung-woo. Now, please rest comfortably. I will miss you a lot and want to see you.” The two starred as a couple in the drama 'Starry Daughter-in-law'.
Since making his debut in the 1975 play 'The Life of an Actor', he appeared in dramas such as 'God's Quiz', 'Doctor Stranger', 'Legend of the Blue Sea', and films like 'Lady Vengeance', 'The Front Line', 'The Witch', and 'Miss Granny'. He showcased a strong presence in the JTBC weekend drama 'Ok-ssi's Story', which ended earlier this year, contributing to its success.
This year marked the 50th anniversary of his debut, and the last work he left behind was the Watcha original series 'Secret Relationship', which was released in February.
