Voice actress turned broadcaster Seo Yu-ri is leaving the 'Excel Broadcast'.
On the 20th, Seo Yu-ri announced on her SNS, "I have ultimately decided to leave the Excel broadcast due to the controversy."
She added, "Further comments may cause unnecessary harm to others, so I will conclude here," and stated, "I will continue my activities in a different way."
Seo Yu-ri recently gained attention for her appearance on SOOP (formerly AfreecaTV)'s Excel broadcast. The Excel broadcast features participating BJs performing acts like dancing or undressing based on viewer donations, and it organizes the donation rankings in an Excel-like format to encourage competition among supporters.
In light of the controversy, Seo Yu-ri confessed to the financial difficulties arising from her divorce with her ex-husband, PD Choi Byung-gil, stating, "I also know that what is referred to as Excel is not something to be proud of. However, I believe there is no reason to mock or ridicule anyone."
Meanwhile, Seo Yu-ri married PD Choi Byung-gil in 2019, but they faced a breakup in March of last year after five years. During the divorce process, Seo had conflicts with PD Choi regarding loans and revealed that she repaid over 1.14 billion won in loans last September.
