National soccer player Jung Woo-young is getting married to actress Lee Kwang-ki's daughter, Yeon-ji.
On the 20th, Seoul Newspaper reported that Jung Woo-young and Yeon-ji's wedding invitation was revealed, stating that the two will marry on June 15 at a location in Seoul.
According to the report, the two have been friends of the same age before their relationship blossomed.
In particular, Yeon-ji is said to resemble actress Son Ye-jin and is known as a talent in the art world. Previously, Yeon-ji gained public recognition by appearing on various entertainment programs such as 'You Are the Best' with Lee Kwang-ki.
Jung Woo-young is currently active as a player for Union Berlin in the German Bundesliga. He joined the South Korean national soccer team in 2021, earning recognition for his skills. He is also referred to as 'Jang Woo-young' to distinguish him from another soccer player of the same name born in 1989.
Jung Woo-young is recovering from an ankle injury he sustained in March and is currently reported to be busy preparing for his wedding in Korea.
Lee Kwang-ki debuted as a child actor in the 1985 KBS drama 'The Hill of the Rising Sun'. He later rose to prominence by appearing in hit works such as 'Taejo Wang Geon', 'The Era of the Wild', 'Jeong Do-jeon', and 'Taejong Yi Bang-won'.
He is currently active as an art director and operates a gallery in Paju, Gyeonggi Province. Yeon-ji is also reported to have worked as a gallerist there.
