‘Black and White Chef’ Imokase is opening its third restaurant in Jeju Island.

On the 13th, SBS's entertainment program ‘Same Bed, Different Dreams Season 2 – You Are My Destiny’ (hereafter ‘Same Bed, Different Dreams’) will reveal the tumultuous journey of Chef Kim Mi-ryeong, who shines as the number one Korean chef in the ‘Black and White Chef’ category, in opening her restaurant in Jeju Island.

In a recent recording of ‘Same Bed, Different Dreams’, 81-year-old rookie (?) YouTuber Sunwoo Yong-yeo, who surpassed 66 million views just six months after starting her YouTube channel, made a special appearance as a guest MC, drawing attention.

From the start of the recording, Sunwoo Yong-yeo captivated the atmosphere with her characteristic boldness as the original ‘Teto Girl’. In particular, when Chef Kim Mi-ryeong scolded her husband, she expressed her proxy anger by saying, “Why are you yelling, XX?” which set the studio ablaze.

However, the emerging Teto Girl, Chef Kim Mi-ryeong, also retorted, “You don’t know because you haven’t lived, teacher,” surprising everyone. The tense standoff between the original Teto Girl and the emerging Teto Girl is drawing attention to how it will conclude.

Additionally, Chef Kim Mi-ryeong's latest updates will be revealed. Following her successful restaurant that recorded an ‘annual revenue of 2 billion’, she has soft-opened her third restaurant in Jeju Island. The new large-scale restaurant features an open ocean view and fresh seafood, attracting attention.

Especially, as a noodle master with 20 years of experience, she has developed a hidden noodle menu that can rival Jeju's must-try dish, meat noodles. Upon seeing this, the MCs reportedly drooled, saying, “I need to go to Jeju to eat that in the future.”

However, despite the glamorous ambitions, the preparation process for the soft opening was not smooth. With the restaurant opening after 11 years, there were disharmonies with the new staff, leading to conflicts. Eventually, Chef Kim Mi-ryeong expressed her unprecedented anger, saying, “If you’re going to work like that, just quit!” which made everyone tense.

Fortunately, her close friend, ‘Queen of Chinese Cuisine’ Chef Jeong Ji-seon, appeared as a support in Jeju Island. Upon arrival, she immediately began a thorough menu inspection, and even after tasting the new dishes, she left a harsh critique, saying, “I don’t think we can open like this,” which heightened the tension on site. In response, Chef Kim Mi-ryeong issued an extreme remedy two hours before the opening, raising interest in whether she could turn the crisis into an opportunity and open successfully.

Meanwhile, upon hearing the news of Chef Kim Mi-ryeong's soft opening in Jeju, her husband Lee Tae-ho, who was undergoing ‘forced house arrest’, hurriedly came down to Jeju. While calming her anger by looking at the sea, Chef Kim Mi-ryeong was momentarily pleased to reunite after a long time, but eventually expressed her dissatisfaction, saying, “You’re not helping!” due to her husband’s incomprehensible actions.

Moreover, after seeing her husband Lee Tae-ho, who came with a cast due to an arm injury, trying to help with one arm, Sunwoo Yong-yeo reportedly erupted in a second wave of anger towards Chef Kim Mi-ryeong, saying, “You shouldn’t play with a good person!” which turned the scene upside down.

The chaotic opening journey of Chef Kim Mi-ryeong’s ‘Imokase No. 1’ in Jeju Island can be confirmed in the broadcast on the 13th. This episode will air at 10:40 PM due to the impact of the 2025 professional baseball playoffs third game broadcast.
