The wife of a defector couple showed tears during counseling on ‘Divorce Reflection Camp’.

On that day, when the wife of the defector couple left the counseling session, counselor Lee Ho-sun went to find her. This was the first time in the history of ‘Divorce Reflection Camp’ that a home visit counseling took place.
Upon seeing counselor Lee Ho-sun, the wife said, “I’m sorry. I don’t think I can do this,” and burst into tears. When Lee Ho-sun asked, “What upset you the most?” the wife cried out, “My husband is not resolving anything, and just watching it suffocates me. I have no money at all, and everything has fallen apart.”
Counselor Lee Ho-sun explained, “The wife accumulates her contributions and puts in her efforts, but she doesn’t receive recognition. After struggling to get this far, she must wonder why her husband and children don’t acknowledge her. It’s not because she did something wrong. It’s just that the pace is too fast. She can’t wait for others to empathize with her. The emotional support is not aligned.”
He continued, “It took quite a while to persuade the husband. He promised to only deal with the coins until the end of the year. When a person is pushed too hard, they become a bigger liar. We need to start by believing in the husband.”
