Comedian Lee Bong-won recently shared the current status of his newly opened third Jjamppong restaurant.
On the 30th of last month, a video titled "It's okay. No, it's not okay. It's okay. No, it's not okay" was posted on the YouTube channel 'Bong-woni-hyung'.
The video captured the opening of Lee Bong-won's third Jjamppong restaurant and the changes over the following two months. On the opening day, he couldn't hide his bright smile as customers flooded in. He expressed, "I'm proud," but also noted, "We need to wait two months to see if the business is really doing well."
Two months later, the production team visited Lee Bong-won's third Jjamppong restaurant. The atmosphere of the store was quite different from the opening. There were only a few tables occupied, and many empty seats.
Lee Bong-won explained, "At the beginning of the opening, there was something called 'opening rush' where people lined up," adding, "Now, the overall economy is in a recession, and the same goes for department stores and road shops. The consumption rate is gradually declining, which is why it's at this level now."
He stated, "It's now 12 PM, lunchtime. It will get better. We're not too worried. It's okay," but soon admitted, "Actually, it's not okay."
Lee Bong-won married comedian Park Mi-sun in 1993 and has a daughter and a son.
