Singer Kim Jung-min's second son, Dani Daichi (Korean name Kim Do-yoon), has been selected again for the Japanese national football team.

On the 21st, the Japan Football Association (JFA) announced the roster for the international friendly tournament to be held in Limoges, France, in September, and Dani Daichi was included in the list.

Dani is set to compete against France, Portugal, and Saudi Arabia.

This is Dani's second selection for the Japanese national team. He participated in the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) 2025 U-17 Asian Cup qualifiers held in Saudi Arabia last year.

In his first match against Nepal, he scored 4 goals, leading the team to a 9:2 victory, and he also scored 2 goals in the final match against Qatar, gaining attention as a promising player.

Born in 2008, Dani is the second son of Kim Jung-min and his Japanese wife Rumiko, holding dual citizenship in Korea and Japan. He moved from the soccer team of Seoul Sinjeong Elementary School and the youth team of FC Seoul to the youth team of Sagan Tosu in Japan in 2023.

According to Japanese media, Dani explained his reason for choosing the Japanese national team, saying, “I wanted to go to Japan, and if I were to transfer, I wanted to play for the strongest team. That’s why I chose Sagan Tosu.”

Kim Jung-min married Rumiko, who is 11 years younger, in 2006, and they have three sons. Currently, since his wife Rumiko is raising their three sons in Japan, Kim Jung-min is living alone in Seoul.

Kim Jung-min and Rumiko will appear on tvN STORY’s ‘Gakjip Couple,’ which premieres on the 28th, revealing their lives in Korea and Japan.
