Actor Kim Soo-hyun's side has filed an additional complaint against 'Gaseyeon'.
The law firm LKBN Partners, which is legally representing Kim Soo-hyun's agency Gold Medalist, announced on the 30th, "Our company and Kim Soo-hyun have today filed an additional complaint against Kim Se-yi, the operator of Gaseyeon, for violating the Stalking Punishment Act."
The legal representatives explained, "Our company and Kim Soo-hyun previously filed a complaint against Kim Se-yi for violating the Stalking Punishment Act on the 1st. This was because Kim Se-yi's continuous and repeated dissemination of false information about Kim Soo-hyun constituted stalking crime against him."
According to the legal representatives, the investigative agency recognized Kim Se-yi's stalking behavior and applied to the court on the 22nd for a 'provisional measure' ordering Kim Se-yi to cease his stalking activities. The court accepted this, but Kim Se-yi is still disseminating false information about Kim Soo-hyun through 'Gaseyeon', the legal representatives pointed out.
The legal representatives criticized Kim Se-yi's actions as "disregarding the court's decision" and emphasized, "We have decided to promptly take additional legal action."
Earlier, on the 2nd, Kim Soo-hyun's side filed a complaint against Kim Se-yi for violating the Stalking Punishment Act. At that time, they stated, "Gaseyeon indiscriminately spread photos and videos of Kim Soo-hyun's face and body, as well as private letters and messages, on their YouTube channel," adding, "The only way to stop Gaseyeon's 'cyber racketeering' behavior is through strict investigation and punishment."
Kim Soo-hyun's side has also filed a defamation complaint against the bereaved family and an unidentified person claiming to be 'aunt', Kim Se-yi, and has initiated a lawsuit for damages amounting to approximately 12 billion won.
Kim Soo-hyun is currently in a heated conflict with the bereaved family regarding the incident involving Kim Sae-ron, who passed away in February. The bereaved family maintains that Kim Soo-hyun and the deceased were in a romantic relationship and continues to demand an official apology while revealing Kim Soo-hyun's private life. On the other hand, Kim Soo-hyun's side has reversed its previous stance, acknowledging the relationship but denying any 'minor relationship'.
On the 31st of last month, Kim Soo-hyun held a press conference and stated, "I did not have a relationship with the deceased when she was a minor. It is also not true that the deceased made a tragic choice due to my appearance or because my agency pressured her regarding her debts," directly denying various suspicions.
Due to this controversy, Kim Soo-hyun is facing disruptions in his ongoing drama and advertising schedules. Recently, it has been reported that some advertisers have filed a lawsuit against Kim Soo-hyun for damages, with the amount reportedly reaching around 3 billion won.
