
Kang Ji-yong, a former football player who appeared on 'Divorce Counseling Camp', has passed away at the age of 36.
Kang Ji-yong passed away on the 22nd. The funeral is set to be held at the special funeral hall No. 2 of Soonchunhyang University Hospital in Cheonan, with the burial taking place on the 25th. He is survived by his wife and daughter. The burial site is at Cheonan Memorial Park.
The news of Kang Ji-yong's death was shared on the 23rd by his close friend Koo Bon-sang through social media.
Kang Ji-yong made his professional debut in 2009 after being drafted by Pohang Steelers in the K-League. He later transferred to Busan I-Park in 2012. He went on to play for Gyeongju Citizen FC, Bucheon FC, Gangwon FC, Incheon United, Gimpo FC, Gangneung Citizen FC, and Cheonan City FC before retiring at the end of the 2022 season.
In February, he appeared on the JTBC entertainment program 'Divorce Counseling Camp', where he shared that he was working at a chemical manufacturing plant earning 3 million won a month after retirement.
