It has been 20 years since the actor Kim Moo-sung passed away.

Kim Moo-sung died of pneumonia on April 16, 2005, at the age of 65.

He entered the broadcasting industry in 1963 as part of the first class of TBC voice actors and began his acting career in 1969 with a special recruitment at MBC. He showcased his skills and presence in significant works such as the dramas 'Tears of the Dragon', 'Barefoot Youth', 'The Sun's Son Lee Jema', 'Youth's Trap', 'The Third Republic', and 'Barefoot Youth'. He also expanded his activities to the screen, appearing in films like 'Son of God', 'October Rain', and 'When Loneliness Struggles'.

He was also the father of actor Kim Joo-hyuk, who suddenly passed away in a car accident in 2017. Kim Joo-hyuk died on October 30, 2017, in a vehicle overturning accident on a road in Samseong-dong, Seoul, at the age of 45. The late Kim Moo-sung gained attention for appearing in a car insurance advertisement with his son during his lifetime.

Kim Joo-hyuk expressed his longing for his father several times on broadcasts. When Kim Moo-sung received a lifetime achievement award at the 2005 SBS Acting Awards, Kim Joo-hyuk, who accepted the award on his behalf, shared an emotional remark saying, "I miss my father, who was both a senior and a father. He walked the true path of an actor."
