Actress Kim Min-hee (42) is reported to be pregnant with director Hong Sang-soo's (64) child.
According to Dispatch on the 17th, Kim Min-hee naturally conceived Hong Sang-soo's child. The expected due date is this spring.
Photos of the two recently visiting an obstetrics and gynecology clinic together have also attracted attention.
Director Hong Sang-soo and Kim Min-hee became connected through the film ‘Right Now, Wrong Then’ (2015) and developed a romantic relationship, overcoming a 22-year age difference. The two have not appeared in public since revealing their love at the premiere of the film ‘On the Beach at Night Alone’ in 2017.
After revealing her relationship with director Hong Sang-soo, Kim Min-hee has only appeared in his films. The two have collaborated on films such as ‘On the Beach at Night Alone,’ ‘The Day After’ (2017), ‘Claire's Camera,’ ‘Grass’ (2018), ‘Hotel by the River’ (2018), ‘The Woman Who Ran’ (2020), ‘The Novelist's Film,’ ‘Top’ (2022), ‘In the Water,’ ‘Our Day’ (2023), and ‘Suyucheon’ (2024).
Director Hong Sang-soo, who married in 1985 and has a daughter, is still legally married to his ex-wife. He filed for divorce against his wife in November 2016, but the Seoul Family Court dismissed the case in 2019. Director Hong did not appeal the decision.
