Arin from the group Oh My Girl has been invited to Cannes for the drama 'S-Line'.
The drama 'S-Line', in which Arin plays the lead role (directed by Ahn Joo-young), has officially been invited to the long feature competition section of the Cannes International Series Festival, which will be held from April 24 to 29. Arin is set to attend as the lead actress and walk the pink carpet of the Cannes Series.
Based on a webtoon of the same name, the drama 'S-Line' depicts a story where a red line, known as the S-Line, appears above the heads of people who have sexual relationships, regardless of time and place.
In the drama, Arin plays the role of 'Hyun-hyup', a high school student who can see the S-Line since birth, and she is expected to showcase a 180-degree transformation in her acting, from her appearance to her dark inner performance, which is different from her previous works.
Arin has been steadily building her acting filmography with roles in tvN dramas such as 'Alchemy of Souls', 'O'PENing 2023 - Summer, Love Machine Blues', the movie 'Mad Dance Office', and the drama 'My Boyfriend is a Tough Guy'. With 'S-Line', she is solidifying her position as an actress. Additionally, as a member of Oh My Girl, she is celebrating her 10th anniversary since debut with the release of a special single 'Oh My' on April 9 and a solo concert '2025 OH MY GIRL CONCERT 'Milky Way'' on April 19-20, showing remarkable progress in both acting and singing, drawing attention to Arin's activities this year.
Arin expressed her feelings, saying, “I am truly honored and overwhelmed to be invited to such a meaningful and grateful event for our work 'S-Line', which is precious to the director, seniors, fellow actors, and all the staff. I hope that starting with the Cannes International Series Festival this year, our work 'S-Line' will receive a lot of good energy and good things! Thank you.”
Meanwhile, the drama 'S-Line', which is raising expectations with its invitation to the long feature competition section of the Cannes International Series Festival, is set to compete with candidates from various countries at the closing ceremony on the 29th (local time) and is scheduled for domestic release in 2025.
