‘Trendsetter’ Choo Young-woo has become the model for KB Kookmin Bank

Actor Choo Young-woo has been selected as the new advertising model for KB Kookmin Bank.

KB Kookmin Bank released a teaser video for its new Starbucks partnership product, ‘KB Byeolbyeol Savings Account,’ starting from the 21st. In the teaser video, Choo Young-woo raises expectations for the new product with short copy phrases like “No lack of stars,” “Not just me, but my bank account,” and “Become rich, star-rich.”

A representative from KB Kookmin Bank stated, “In launching the new product, we selected ‘actor Choo Young-woo,’ who has high growth potential, as the model to give a fresh and trendy brand image to KB Kookmin Bank and Starbucks, and to expand communication with the younger customer base.”

Choo Young-woo is set to promote the Starbucks partnership product ‘KB Byeolbyeol Savings Account’ and the ‘KB Kookmin Bank Account Easy Payment Service’ within the Starbucks app. The main advertisement is scheduled to be released on the 28th and will be available on terrestrial and cable TV channels, as well as KB Kookmin Bank's YouTube and Instagram.

Choo Young-woo proved his popularity by ranking first in the February actor brand reputation announced by the Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute. He is gaining attention as a trendsetting star with the success of the JTBC drama ‘Ok-ssi Buin Jeon’ and the Netflix series ‘Severe Trauma Center.’

The main advertisement featuring Choo Young-woo for KB Kookmin Bank is scheduled to be released on the 28th.

Choo Young-woo is expected to meet viewers this year through the Netflix series ‘Square’ and tvN’s ‘Gyeonwoo and Seonnyeo.’
