Lee Junho made history as the first Korean actor to appear on Brazil's representative talk show 'The Noite', proving his global popularity.
On the 10th (local time), Lee Junho appeared on the late-night talk show 'The Noite' aired by the Brazilian public broadcasting network SBT, drawing significant attention as the first Korean actor to do so.
'The Noite' is a talk show hosted by popular comedian Danilo Gentili, which has been highly popular locally since its first broadcast in 2014. Numerous global stars, including Keanu Reeves, M. Night Shyamalan, Josh Hartnett, Tom Holland, and Hugh Jackman, have previously appeared on the show.
Lee Junho, who held a fan concert '2025 Lee Junho Fan Con in São Paulo - Midnight Sun' on the 1st and 2nd, captivated local viewers during the talk show by sharing his thoughts on the performance, his activities as a singer and actor, and new projects.
Introduced by host Danilo Gentili, Lee Junho greeted the audience in the local language, expressing his joy at the warm welcome he received at the airport and the concert venue, saying, "I heard that Brazil is a beautiful and hot place, and I was very happy to receive such a warm welcome." He also shared an episode about tasting the traditional dish churrasco and enjoyed a moment prepared for him to indulge his love for ice cream, enhancing his rapport with the audience.
Lee Junho gained global popularity with his leading role in the JTBC drama 'King the Land', which topped the Netflix Global Top 10 in the non-English TV category three times and reached number one in 21 regions, including Brazil. Questions about 'King the Land' poured in during the press conference held a day before the performance and during the broadcast.
With the recent surge in popularity of Korean content in Brazil, Lee Junho, who is shining at the center of it, expressed his gratitude, saying, "I am thankful and proud that people on the other side of the world love Korean culture and content. There are those who have known and liked me for a long time, but I feel that technology has reduced the distance. I am happy to communicate closely with fans online," he smiled.
Lee Junho shared stories about losing 16 kg for a role and living in a way that blocked sunlight to portray a lonely character. He also revealed his passion for acting, saying, "There is a scene in 'Red Sleeve Cuff' where I shoot a fire arrow, and I did it myself without a stunt double for naturalness. The director suggested using a stunt double, but I thought it would look more natural and real if I did it myself."
After successfully completing an 8-show fan concert tour across 4 regions domestically and internationally, Lee Junho is expected to shine brightly as an actor this year. He will showcase diverse acting transformations, from the lifestyle hero 'Kang Sang-woong' in the Netflix series 'Cash Hero' to 'Kang Tae-poong', a youth representative facing the 1997 IMF crisis in the new tvN drama 'Typhoon Company'. He introduced 'Cash Hero' as a title that combines 'cash' and 'hero', based on a webtoon, and asked for anticipation and interest.
The broadcast featuring Lee Junho has also been posted on the official YouTube channel of 'The Noite com Danilo Gentili', receiving positive feedback such as "The interview about his career as a singer and actor is very interesting. I got to know him better through the interview," and "A true all-rounder and a warm-hearted artist who thinks of his fans."
