Broadcaster Yang Se-chan shares a quick way for Kim Dae-ho, who dreams of living in Jeju, to enter the island.

The MBC entertainment program ‘Save Me! Homes’ (hereafter ‘Homes’), airing on the 20th at 10 PM, will feature a special segment on the increasing number of vacant houses in Jeju.

This episode is themed ‘Cost-effective Vacant Houses in Jeju’, with Kim Dae-ho, Joo Woo-jae, and Yang Se-chan heading to Jeju for a house inspection.

The three, who set out to inspect vacant houses in Jeju, accidentally discover a fascinating café. This café, converted from an old bank, displays various items reminiscent of a bank throughout the space. Most notably, the three cannot hide their excitement when they find a large safe that has been firmly closed, and they head straight for it. What they discover inside raises curiosity.

Meeting the café owner, the three ask how they came to lease the bank building. The café owner reveals, “I found out through a local app popular among Jeju residents, and the bank moved to a new building, allowing the corporation to lease the old one.”

In relation to this, the ‘Homes’ coordinators also introduce rental buildings in the village. They mention that the entire village manages and rents out vacant houses, and the current tenant of a building that used to be a health center operates it as a vintage shop. Kim Sook highlights, “This is a pilgrimage site frequently visited by famous fashion people and campers. Kookoon and Bong Tae-kyu have also been here,” drawing attention.

Kim Sook confesses, “In the past, when I had no work, I tried to live in Jeju and bought a house each with my older sister. My sister continues to live in Jeju, but my house has been left vacant. She looks after it, but it’s hard to manage, so it’s been neglected.” In response, Yang Se-chan humorously suggests to Kim Dae-ho, who is captivated by Jeju, “Propose to Kim Sook! It’s a shortcut to entering Jeju.”

Next, the trio of house inspectors introduces a vacant house located in Daejeong-eup, Seogwipo City. This area, famous for dolphins and fishing, features a charming green roof peeking over a quaint stone wall. This place, which comes with a spacious 100-pyeong field as a basic option, is being offered for free for a year as the owner is leaving Jeju due to personal circumstances, causing a stir in the ‘Homes’ studio.

The cost-effective vacant house inspection in Jeju will be revealed on Thursday, the 20th, at 10 PM on MBC’s ‘Save Me! Homes’.
