Singer KCM confessed that his marriage and marriage registration were delayed due to being defrauded.
On the 21st, KCM appeared on Channel A's entertainment program 'Close Friend Documentary - Four-Person Table' alongside singer Kim Tae-woo and broadcaster Park Kyung-rim, sharing his story.
On that day, KCM said, "I was defrauded in my name. I didn't know anything about joint guarantees. When I had no money, it was hard to borrow even 10,000 won. The closer you are, the harder it is to talk about it," and added, "(Kim) Tae-woo seemed like he would try to help me if I told him, so I couldn't say it right away."
He revealed that this fraud delayed his marriage, saying, "I wanted to get married quickly, but I was afraid my debt would fall on my family. To make matters worse, after I returned from the military, I had no work for 3-4 years."
KCM recalled, "When I had no money, it was hard to borrow even a 10,000 won bill. The closer the person was, the harder it was to talk about it."
"It was like a lie how well the money issue was resolved. After settling my debts, I registered my marriage, and at that time, we had our second child, and my wife and I cried a lot," he confessed, adding, "I wanted to talk about the second child, but I couldn't even talk about the first, so I was scared to mention the second. I thought I should share everything before the wedding."
KCM currently has a 13-year-old daughter and a 3-year-old daughter.
In September 2012, he registered his marriage after having his first daughter with his wife, who is 9 years younger than him. Due to the impact of COVID-19 and the fraud incident, they could not hold a wedding ceremony at that time. The following year, they held a covenant ceremony with close relatives in attendance.
Currently, his wife is pregnant with their third child.
