Jung Kyung-ho and Tang Joon-sang hint at a mysterious contract that binds them in a compelling relationship.
The new MBC Friday-Saturday drama ‘Labor Attorney Noh Moo-jin’ (written by Kim Bo-tong and Yoo Seung-hee, directed by Im Soon-rye and Lee Han-jun) will premiere on the 30th at 9:50 PM. It is a comedic fantasy action drama that depicts the chaotic problem-solving journey of a labor attorney who can see ghosts.
This is the first drama directed by Im Soon-rye, who directed the films ‘Our Greatest Moments’ and ‘Negotiation’, and is co-written by Kim Bo-tong, the writer of the OTT drama ‘D.P.’, and Yoo Seung-hee, the writer of the film ‘I Can Speak’, raising expectations.
In the meantime, the production team of ‘Labor Attorney Noh Moo-jin’ has released stills from the first episode featuring the first meeting between Moo-jin (played by Jung Kyung-ho), who is at a crossroads between life and death, and a mysterious young man, the Bodhisattva (played by Tang Joon-sang). This meeting becomes a pivotal moment for Moo-jin as he begins to see ghosts, heightening interest.
In the released stills, Moo-jin stands in a mysterious space, unsure if he is in this world or the next, with a bewildered expression. In front of him is the ‘denim man’ Bodhisattva, dressed in vintage jeans and a denim jacket. Although Moo-jin has a youthful face, he does not let his guard down against the Bodhisattva, who approaches him meaningfully while holding Moo-jin's business card, raising questions about how the Bodhisattva knows him and who he really is.
The story of ‘Labor Attorney Noh Moo-jin’ begins when the Bodhisattva hands Moo-jin a labor contract in exchange for saving his life. After signing the contract in a moment of confusion to survive, Moo-jin is visited by the ghosts of those who died from industrial accidents, leading to a series of tumultuous events. It raises curiosity about why Moo-jin faced a life-threatening situation and how he ended up signing a contract without knowing its contents, making the scene of the contract signing intriguing.
The production team stated, “The chemistry between the Bodhisattva, who holds Moo-jin's lifeline with the contract, and Moo-jin, who reluctantly becomes a ghost-specialized labor attorney, will unfold in an exciting manner. We hope viewers will be curious about the mysterious identity of the Bodhisattva, who may have come to save or torment Moo-jin, and look forward to their unpredictable encounters.
