Broadcaster Bae Seung-jae expressed his affection for his fiancée, SBS announcer Kim Da-young.
On the 7th, during the live opening broadcast of SBS Power FM's ‘Bae Seung-jae's Ten’, Bae Seung-jae said about Kim Da-young, “It was cautious to talk about her since she is also exposed. She is also a fan of ‘Bae Ten’,” and added, “In every way, she is a much better person than me.”
The two are reported to have developed a romantic relationship while appearing on the SBS variety show ‘Gol Dae Rineun Geunyeo’. He shyly remarked, “We got involved while doing ‘Gol Dae Rineun Geunyeo’. I’m sorry and embarrassed about that.”
Bae Seung-jae also commented on getting married without a ceremony, saying, “Both the parties involved and our parents have graciously understood. I don’t have any special plans to share. If there are, I will let you know right away. We will go on a honeymoon. I will inform you who the special DJ will be once it’s decided.”
Bae Seung-jae stated, “I couldn’t deliver the news in advance, but I wanted to share it through the radio, so I decided to do the opening live,” adding, “Thank you to those who congratulated us, and I apologize to those who are angry.”
On this day, the news of Bae Seung-jae and Kim Da-young's marriage was announced. Bae Seung-jae's agency, SM C&C, stated, “Announcer Bae Seung-jae will marry SBS announcer Kim Da-young in May. After two years of dating, they recently promised to become partners.”
The agency added, “The two wish to start quietly without any formalities, so they plan to substitute the ceremony with a family meal. We kindly ask for your understanding that we cannot provide specific details about matters related to their marriage as they are private.”
Bae Seung-jae entered the broadcasting industry as a regional announcer in KBS's 31st public recruitment in 2005 and moved to SBS as a 14th public recruitment announcer in 2006. After resigning in 2021, he transitioned to freelance work and has appeared in various entertainment shows such as ‘Gol Dae Rineun Geunyeo’, ‘National Team is National Team’, ‘Hello Trot’, ‘Ramen Kkondae’, ‘Fire Band’, and ‘Legendary League’.
Kim Da-young worked at Mokpo MBC and Busan MBC before joining SBS as a career announcer in 2021. She has been a fixed guest on SBS Radio Power FM’s ‘Kim Young-chul’s Power FM’ and has served as the weekday anchor for sports news on ‘SBS 8 News’. She has also been active as a member of FC Anaconda on ‘Gol Dae Rineun Geunyeo’.
