The group IVE has postponed their comeback promotion schedule due to the aftermath of the Jeju Air passenger plane tragedy.

Their agency, Starship Entertainment, announced on the 29th, "We inform you that the promotion schedule for IVE's third EP album 'IVE Empathy', which was scheduled to be released on the 29th and 30th, has been postponed, and we will notify you of the new upload schedule later."

They continued, "We ask for the understanding of our fans," and expressed their condolences, stating, "We extend our deepest sympathies to the victims and their families affected by the accident."

IVE is set to release their new album 'IVE Empathy' on February 3rd. They were planning to kick off their promotion with the pre-release track 'Revel Heart' on January 13th.

Meanwhile, according to the fire authorities, a Jeju Air passenger plane carrying 181 people from Bangkok to Muan encountered an accident during its landing process at Muan International Airport in Jeollanam-do at 9:03 AM on the 29th. The aircraft had 175 passengers and 6 crew members on board, with 175 passengers and 4 crew members reported dead, and 2 survivors (crew members) accounted for.

Flight 7C2216 of Jeju Air attempted to land on the runway of Muan Airport without its landing gear deployed, resulting in a collision with the outer wall, causing most of the aircraft to be engulfed in flames.
