The drama 'Slowly but Intensely', starring actors Song Hye-kyo and Gong Yoo, has commenced its first filming.
According to Star News on the 13th, the new drama 'Slowly but Intensely' by writer Noh Hee-kyung started filming on the 12th.
The drama is set against the backdrop of the broadcasting industry in the 1960s and 1970s, telling the story of stars and those who create them. This marks Song Hye-kyo's third collaboration with writer Noh Hee-kyung, following the KBS 2TV drama 'The World They Live In' in 2008 and SBS's 'That Winter, the Wind Blows' in 2013.
Notably, ahead of the filming for this drama, Song Hye-kyo garnered attention for showcasing a 'short cut' hairstyle. She appeared on Jung Jae-young's YouTube channel and mentioned, "I cut my hair for the next project. It's a work by Noh Hee-kyung. It's a period drama. It's a story from the 60s and 70s."
Gong Yoo has a deep connection with director Lee Yoon-jung. This director previously collaborated with Gong Yoo in the MBC drama 'Coffee Prince', which elevated him to stardom.
'Slowly but Intensely' is set to be a total of 22 episodes, with a production budget of over 70 billion won, and it will be released through Netflix.
