Winner's Song Min-ho, who is embroiled in controversy over inadequate service, has been accused of receiving special privileges.
On the 23rd, a video titled “Is Song Min-ho a Cheonryong-in? I Went to the Work Location Where He Drives a Supercar” was posted on the YouTube channel ‘Entertainment President Lee Jin-ho’.
In the released video, YouTuber Lee Jin-ho stated, “The controversy over Song Min-ho's inadequate service began in May of last year, after he appeared with long hair at his sister's wedding in San Francisco, USA,” and revealed past photos from the wedding.
He continued, “In the past, there were specific guidelines regarding hair length for public service workers, such as the length being above the eyebrows and ears, but nowadays the regulations have been relaxed to state that appearance and clothing must be neat. Nevertheless, Song Min-ho's hair condition cannot be considered neat,” he said.
He also mentioned, “Song Min-ho received a 4th grade military physical examination due to health issues such as bipolar disorder, panic disorder, and social anxiety, but no mental issues were found during his participation in high-paying shows like ‘I Live Alone’, ‘New Journey to the West’, and ‘Kang's Kitchen’ before his military enlistment. In particular, in ‘Kang's Kitchen’, he was seen interacting with numerous customers without any issues, leading to speculation that Song Min-ho might have ‘selective panic disorder’ due to such a drastic change in behavior.”
Lee Jin-ho also focused on the invisible privileges regarding Song Min-ho. He pointed out, “The first issue is the suspicion of a change in work location. The first work location, the Mapo District Facility Management Corporation, was 2.1 km away from Song Min-ho's home. He later changed his work location to the Mapo Residents' Convenience Facility, which is about 1 km away from his home. It became much closer to his house.”
Additionally, he mentioned that the parking lot at the Mapo Residents' Convenience Facility is a small space that can only accommodate 26 cars if excluding compact car spaces, yet Song Min-ho, who reportedly arrives at work at 10 AM, always parks his supercar there, raising concerns about parking privileges. Lee Jin-ho questioned, “Would an ordinary person have such benefits?”
Earlier, on the 17th, Dispatch raised suspicions of inadequate service, stating that Song Min-ho was not properly working at the Mapo Residents' Convenience Facility where he served as a social service worker. In response, his agency YG Entertainment explained, “The reason for sick leave is an extension of treatment received before service, and all other leaves were used in accordance with regulations.”
As the controversy arose, the Military Manpower Administration began an investigation to verify the facts, and the police received a public complaint requesting an investigation into the allegations of habitual attendance manipulation by Song Min-ho, leading to an inquiry. Song Min-ho was discharged from service on the 23rd but stated that he has no immediate plans for entertainment activities.
