NewJeans Minji graced the cover of the January 2025 issue of 'Elle'. This photoshoot, in collaboration with Chanel Beauty, took place in London, making it even more special. Minji, who visited London for the first time for the 'Elle' cover shoot, shared her thoughts, saying, "I saw the first snow of the year in London. It has become a very special memory."
When asked what she thinks about the most while practicing during the year-end music award season, she replied, "I often think about not getting injured. Sometimes my passion can be overwhelming, so I try to focus on balancing it to deliver a great performance on stage." She also expressed her affection for her members, stating, "The reason we were able to set various records as NewJeans is thanks to the trust and support we have for each other."
When asked about her determination for 2025, she said, "NewJeans is still a fresh, solid, and deep team. I want to have a year where we can showcase enjoyable stages with good music and performances next year. And I hope everyone remembers that each of you is a precious being."
In addition to the 'Elle' cover shoot, NewJeans Minji attended the Chanel Beauty 'Colour of Allure' event held in London. Among the guests gathered from around the world, Minji stood out as an irreplaceable representative of Korea, drawing the spotlight. The event, themed around 'dynamic Chanel colors' through a close partnership with emerging makeup artist 'Comet Collective', reflected on the past, present, and future of Chanel Beauty. The vibrant scenes from the event will be revealed alongside the cover photoshoot in the January issue of 'Elle'. During her journey with 'Elle', Minji expressed her affection for Chanel Beauty, saying, "The campaign shoot we did with Chanel Beauty in Paris and the No1 DE CHANEL trip to France were all precious experiences, and now I've created new memories in London as well."
This year, NewJeans' 'Supernatural' was selected as the best song of 2024 by 'The New York Times', proving their global popularity as the only K-pop song on the list. They will be meeting fans through performances at year-end award ceremonies.
