Go Ah-ra from ‘Chunhwa Love Story’ shared her thoughts on joining the cast.
On the afternoon of the 5th, a production presentation for the TVING original series ‘Chunhwa Love Story’ was held at CGV Yongsan I-Park Mall in Yongsan, Seoul. Director Lee Kwang-young, Go Ah-ra, Jang Ryul, Kang Chan-hee, Son Woo-hyun, and Han Seung-yeon attended.
Go Ah-ra plays the role of Princess Hwari, depicting her independent journey as a royal princess. After a five-year hiatus from acting, Go Ah-ra stated, “It feels like I took a long break to shoot such a fun project. I was attracted to the message the work wanted to convey, which led me to choose this project.”
Princess Hwari was originally played by Go Ah-sung, who had to leave the project due to an injury, leading to Go Ah-ra stepping in as a replacement. Go Ah-ra expressed, “I am grateful. It feels like a stroke of luck to receive such a good project on short notice. I was already prepared as I was working on another historical drama. After reading the script, I found a lot of empathy with Princess Hwari’s character. I am thankful to have started filming quickly.”
‘Chunhwa Love Story’ is a romantic youth historical drama that unfolds as Princess Hwari (played by Go Ah-ra), who has failed in her first love, declares her intention to find a husband herself, getting entangled with the city’s top playboy Hwan (played by Jang Ryul) and the best suitor Jang-won (played by Kang Chan-hee).
Director Lee Kwang-young, known for the ‘My Daughter, Geum Sa-wol’ series and ‘Love is a Verb’, collaborates with writer Seo Eun-jung, who has penned sitcoms like ‘Hospital Playlist’, ‘New Nonstop’, ‘Rainbow Romance’, and ‘I Wish the Earth Would End Tomorrow’.
The TVING original ‘Chunhwa Love Story’ consists of a total of 10 episodes, with the first two episodes set to be released on Thursday, the 6th, at 12 PM on TVING.
