Actors Jo In-sung, Han Ji-min, Chun Woo-hee, and writer Noh Hee-kyung have once again carried out the 'Love Coal Briquette Sharing Volunteer Work' this year.
On the 7th, the volunteer organization Gilbut and the international relief organization (Foundation) Korea JTS provided coal briquettes for residents of Guryong Village in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, who are struggling with heating during the winter.
A total of 145 people, including writer Noh Hee-kyung, actors Jo In-sung, Han Ji-min, Chun Woo-hee, Kim Byung-ok, Lee Sang-hee, Jo Hye-jung, and Baek Seung-do, spent meaningful time moving coal briquettes hand to hand. They donated and delivered a total of 3,600 coal briquettes to 15 households.
The celebrities present that day expressed, “We hope that with this small gesture we delivered today, you will have a warm and cozy winter.”
Writer Noh Hee-kyung stated, “I am grateful that we can come together to help. Above all, I was happy that we were sharing warmth through coal briquettes. I will not forget the feelings I experienced today,” expressing her intention to continue the event every year.
The year-end coal briquette sharing volunteer work by Gilbut started in 2021 and has reached its 4th year this year. Additionally, Gilbut has been conducting the JTS street fundraising campaign in Myeongdong every year since 2004, consistently supporting hungry children around the world.
