Zin Choi has been selected as the first Korean artist for the Bose & NME Rising Star Project, featuring in the C25 mixtape with the new song 'microGIANT.'
The C25 mixtape, which includes Zin Choi's 'microGIANT,' will be released simultaneously on major streaming platforms worldwide on the 19th.
The C series mixtape is a global compilation album that introduces emerging artists every year, created by the premium audio brand Bose and the UK’s leading music magazine NME. Last year, Grammy Award winner Laufey and chart-topping artist Lola Young participated.
This year, globally recognized artists such as Alex Warren, who topped the Billboard Hot 100 with 'Ordinary,' and the band Parcels, produced by Daft Punk, are confirmed to participate. Zin Choi is the first Korean artist to join this compilation alongside the K-pop group All Day Project.
Now 16 years old, Zin Choi is a next-generation comprehensive artist who handles songwriting, composition, arrangement, album artwork, and music videos. Since debuting with the EP 'mom!!iminlove' last October, he has actively continued his creative work by releasing the EP 'donotdisturb' and the single 'allang mallang.' Additionally, he collaborated with Nike to create a song for an exhibition and released the single 'Silly Faces' with the indie band Cadho in August, expanding his world into various fields.
The track 'microGIANT' included in C25 is a powerful electro-pop song that marks a new challenge for Zin Choi, who has primarily sung soft indie pop until now. This declaration of being 'microGIANT' showcases Zin Choi's steady growth over just a year since his debut, reflecting his rapid expansion and evolution during one of the fastest-growing periods of his life. Expectations are high for Zin Choi's next steps as he aims to become a global artist.
