In the episode of KBS 2TV's 'Newly Released Restaurant' aired on the 25th, a scene was shown where Kim Jaejoong was making kimchi with his parents. While his hands were busy making kimchi, the conversation took an unexpected turn towards confessions.
While making kimchi, Kim Jaejoong started the conversation with his mother, who was encouraging him to get married, saying, "You had a (girlfriend) before, right?" To this, Kim Jaejoong's mother recalled, "The one you brought home?"
Surprisingly, both families had even gone through a family introduction. Kim Jaejoong's mother added, "At that time, we were thinking of getting you married. She must have gotten married by now." She continued, "She was pretty, and her parents were nice, but it was such a young age," to which Kim Jaejoong responded, "I was in middle school back then," revealing a twist.
Kim Jaejoong recalled, "It was when the internet was just starting. We met through chatting and developed feelings by exchanging photos. When I met her in person, she looked exactly like her photos." He shared, "I took a bus from Daegu to Gongju, and after a brief date at an amusement park, we had a tearful goodbye."
He also added, "That friend even came to Gongju with her parents," and his mother jokingly said, "You can contact her now if you want," eliciting laughter mixed with nostalgia.
