Actors Kim Hyang-gi and Kang Sang-jun have come together as the leads in the short-form drama 'Can Ghosts Be Laundered?', the first offering from Daum's short-form service 'Daum Loop'.
'Can Ghosts Be Laundered?' is a fantasy romance based on a popular webtoon, featuring a laundromat owner, Se-jeong, who helps ghosts achieve enlightenment, and Do-jun, a ghost who has lost his memory, as they fight evil spirits and develop their love. The series consists of a total of 62 episodes, each running about 1-2 minutes, and all episodes were released today (21st), drawing attention to Kim Hyang-gi and Kang Sang-jun as the male and female leads.
In the drama, Kim Hyang-gi plays the role of 'Jeong Se-jeong', the owner of the ghost laundromat. Jeong Se-jeong has a special ability to help ghosts achieve enlightenment during the two hours from midnight every night, running the laundromat inherited from her father. Kim Hyang-gi portrays the sometimes prickly but warm-hearted Se-jeong in a realistic manner, enhancing the immersion.
Kang Sang-jun takes on the role of the bachelor ghost 'Ma Do-jun'. Ma Do-jun is an unwelcome guest who visits the ghost laundromat after hours, following Se-jeong, who is not fond of him, in search of a way to achieve enlightenment. Kang Sang-jun flexibly depicts the cheerful charm of Ma Do-jun, who also plays the role of Se-jeong's helper.
Kim Hyang-gi and Kang Sang-jun have proven their stable acting skills through various genres of works. Kim Hyang-gi is actively announcing news of her upcoming projects, including her confirmed role as the hero 'Bang Eun-mi', who has telekinetic powers, in the Netflix series 'Cashier'. She is also set to return to the screen with the films 'Hanran' and 'It's Okay to Just Breathe Next to Me'. Additionally, she has shared the exciting news of her first stage challenge in a play, 'Shakespeare in Love', since her debut.
Meanwhile, Kang Sang-jun made a strong impression with his continuous work in dramas such as 'Chaebol X Detective', 'Doctor Slump', 'To My Harry', and the play 'Interview on a Rainy Day' last year.
