JYP Entertainment (hereafter JYP) boy group NEXZ has achieved number one on music charts both domestically and internationally with their new album.
NEXZ (Tomoya, Yuu, Haru, So Gun, Seita, Huey, Yuki) made their comeback on the 28th with the release of their second mini album ‘O-RLY?’ and its title track of the same name. The album topped the daily album charts of Hanteo Chart on the 28th and Circle Chart on the 29th.
It also reached the top of the daily album chart on Japan's RecoChoku on the 28th, and by the morning of the 29th, it recorded number one on the comprehensive, K-pop, and pop album charts on Japan's iTunes. Additionally, the title track ‘O-RLY?’ reached the top of the Bugs real-time chart as of 10 PM on the 28th, marking the joy of their first domestic music chart number one since their debut.
As NEXZ approaches their first global debut anniversary on May 20, they have set high expectations for their future activities with the successful release of their second mini album. Thanks to the enthusiastic support from fans, JYP posted lookbook content on their official SNS channels on the afternoon of the 29th, showcasing the visuals of the seven members in concept photos for the new album ‘O-RLY?’, adding to the excitement.
The content, reminiscent of backstage cuts from a fashion show, was designed to allow fans to appreciate NEXZ's visual strengths and attractive styles from various angles. By highlighting each point element such as outfits, accessories, and makeup, fans were able to enjoy the contrasting two concepts to the fullest, while the members' enhanced comeback visuals provided a special visual experience that filled fans' hearts.
The first comeback song of 2025, ‘O-RLY?’, depicts NEXZ's freedom and boldness in enjoying the world as they like, unbound by others' opinions.
