Dragon Pony is taking over music shows and radio as soon as they make their comeback.
Dragon Pony (An Tae-kyu, Pyeon Seong-hyeon, Kwon Se-hyeok, Ko Gang-hoon) released their second EP 'Not Out' on the 19th. The autobiographical narrative of Dragon Pony, reflecting the imperfect aspects of youth, is embedded in each track, and similar to their first EP 'POP UP', all four members took the lead as main producers, overseeing the lyrics, composition, and arrangement of all songs.
The title track 'Not Out', which shares the same name as the second EP, is based on the motto 'It’s not over yet!' and expresses the relentless challenges faced by modern youth in pursuit of their dreams, using the baseball term 'Not Out' as a metaphor. It conveys a message of hope and passion, suggesting that if one advances with a strong will even in the face of an uncertain and daunting reality, they will ultimately achieve their dreams, garnering a great response.
In particular, with the comeback of 'Not Out', Dragon Pony had a 'hot debut' stage on major domestic music shows. Their intense band performance and explosive energy, which perfectly embodied the catchphrase 'The hot music of imperfect boys', captivated the audience's attention.
Dragon Pony also appeared on representative domestic radio programs such as 'Hope Song at Noon with Kim Shin-young' and 'Escape at Two with Cultwo Show', creating buzz by introducing their EP and showcasing an all-band live performance. Among these, their cover stage of IVE's 'REBEL HEART', which was arranged by Dragon Pony themselves, delivered a different feeling from the original, thrilling the audience. A viewer who experienced the vibrant stage remarked, "It’s so cool. They left a mark of dragon claws and horse hooves in my heart," leaving an impressive review.
Meanwhile, Dragon Pony will hold solo concerts in Seoul on May 3-4 and in Taipei on May 23-24, with all four performances sold out. Following this, Dragon Pony will also participate in the music festival 'Beautiful Mint Life 2025' on June 14, continuing their activities as the 'top rookie of the K-band scene' that adds vitality to the 'band boom'.
