JYP Entertainment's (hereinafter JYP) rookie boy group KickFlip has been selected as a K-Pop rookie to watch in 2025 by the American Grammy.com even before their official debut.
On the 4th (local time), the American Grammy.com announced the '8 Rookie K-Pop Acts To Watch In 2025', and KickFlip made the list, drawing attention.
The Grammy noted, along with hashtags like ‘JYPNATION’ and ‘NEWGROUPALERT’, that “After a long time since the audition program ‘LOUD’ in 2021, JYP's new boy group KickFlip announced their debut promotion news in January 2025 at the ‘2024 MAMA Awards’ held last November.”
On the 6th at midnight, KickFlip announced the release of their first mini album ‘Flip it, Kick it!’ on January 20 through their official SNS channels, along with member profiles, album scheduler, and the music video for the pre-release track ‘Eunggeurae’. In particular, the music video for the debut album track ‘Eunggeurae’ showcased a free vibe and energetic performance, ranking 9th on YouTube's Worldwide Trending Music Videos and 3rd on the domestic YouTube Popular Rising Videos as of the morning of the 7th, proving their hot response both domestically and internationally.
KickFlip members Kyeo-hun, Amaru, Dong-hwa, Joo-wang, Min-je, K-Ju, and Dong-hyun, who have garnered curiosity and anticipation from K-Pop fans worldwide and major overseas media, are preparing for their debut by showcasing dance practice videos, introduction films, concept photos, tracklist posters, track videos, and music video teasers.
The team name ‘KickFlip’ refers to a high-level skill of rotating a board 360 degrees with the toes. The seven members are expected to break free from the existing norms and make new strides, just like spinning the board and moving forward.
Meanwhile, KickFlip (Kyeo-hun, Amaru, Dong-hwa, Joo-wang, Min-je, K-Ju, Dong-hyun) will officially release their debut album ‘Flip it, Kick it!’ on January 20 at 6 PM.
