Former gymnast Son Yeon-jae revealed her plans for a second child.

On the 17th, KBS2's ‘New Menu Launch Pyeon Restaurant’ depicted Son Yeon-jae's daily life.

On this day, Son Yeon-jae treated her friends to young radish kimchi steamed mackerel, young radish kimchi pancakes, and spicy grilled pork. While chatting with her friends, Son Yeon-jae drew attention by referring to the matchmaker who introduced her to her husband as “the benefactor who married me.”

The matchmaker said, “I like Son Yeon-jae as a younger sister, and Son Yeon-jae's husband is a close senior of my husband. He treats me well and is good to our son, so I thought, ‘I hope that guy marries a good woman.’” Son Yeon-jae gave a thumbs up and jokingly said, “Thank you.”

Son Yeon-jae mentioned, “My husband and I were both hesitant. My sister said, ‘You should definitely meet.’ I couldn’t be proactive, and neither could my husband, but my sister said, ‘You two should contact each other and meet again quickly.’”

The matchmaker added, “The next day, I asked Son Yeon-jae's husband, ‘Did you contact her?’ and he said he hadn’t. I asked, ‘Why not?’”

Son Yeon-jae shared that they got married after a year of dating, saying, “I always wanted to get married early, but my husband gave me confidence, which made me think seriously about it quickly.”

The matchmaker remarked, “Son Yeon-jae's husband should really be grateful to me. Son Yeon-jae is so kind. She cares for others and takes good care of them. She raises her child well and is good to her husband,” to which Son Yeon-jae expressed her gratitude, saying, “Thanks to that, I’m living well.”

Meanwhile, Son Yeon-jae mentioned her plans for a second child. She said, “Originally, the plan for the second child was this year or next year, but after raising one child, I realistically thought, ‘What would it be like if there was one more child here?’”

She continued, “But I’m an only child, right? Being an only child is not okay. There should be two kids.”

She added, “If the second child is a daughter, I will cry. I would be so happy,” revealing her desire for a daughter.
