Participant Nam Yu-joo has thrown her hat in the ring for 'Hip Pop Princess' following her participation in 'I-LAND 2'.
The first meeting of 40 participants from Korea and Japan was depicted in the Mnet broadcast of 'Unpretty Rapstar: Hip Pop Princess' aired on the 16th.
The broadcast featured a face-to-face meeting of the Korean and Japanese participants. First, keywords related to the participants were revealed, followed by the unveiling of their silhouettes.
As the participants took their seats one by one, the keyword 'Nikkanhafu', meaning half-Japanese and half-Korean, was revealed. It was then that Nam Yu-joo made her appearance.
Nam Yu-joo had reached the finals in 'I-LAND 2' but did not debut. She shared, "I finished the finals of 'I-LAND 2' last year and took a short break," updating on her current situation.
Nam Yu-joo expressed, "Every time I face elimination in a survival show and unfortunately miss an opportunity, I feel most sorry to my parents," adding, "When I brought up the 'Hip Pop Princess' opportunity to my parents, they said, 'This is an opportunity for you.' That made me think, 'I really need to do well.'
