Kim Seon-jin, a makeup artist and the wife of the late actor Jo Min-ki, made her broadcast appearance after 7 years.
Kim Seon-jin recently appeared as a contestant on Coupang Play's entertainment show 'Just Makeup'. The show is a makeup survival program hosted by singer Lee Hyori, with makeup artist Jung Saem-mool and Amorepacific makeup master Lee Jin-soo as judges.
Kim Seon-jin introduced herself by saying that she has done makeup for star actors such as Shim Eun-ha, Park Joong-hoon, the late Choi Jin-sil, and Shim Hye-jin. She expressed her thoughts on participating, saying, "As a first-generation makeup artist, I can show that I have something unique. I thought, 'It's been a long time, and I can have a good time again'."
Kim Seon-jin was judged by beauty creators Lee Sa-bae and Lee Jin-soo. Lee Sa-bae, who is familiar with Kim Seon-jin, said, "She was the representative when I first joined the shop, so standing there brought up many emotions," and Kim Seon-jin shared, "We probably recalled old memories, and I think the tears came from those memories."
Kim Seon-jin mentioned, "I haven't really done makeup and have mostly been managing the shop. My confidence dropped, so I practiced a lot," and added, "They say that what you learn physically never fades. I believe the skills I have will come out. I wanted to show a strong woman," but unfortunately, she was eliminated.
Meanwhile, Kim Seon-jin married Jo Min-ki in 1992 and they have a son and a daughter. The couple also appeared together on entertainment shows like MBN's 'Divorce Class'.
Jo Min-ki was identified as a perpetrator in the #MeToo movement in 2018 and left a six-page suicide note before passing away ahead of a police summons.
