‘Mantis: The Murderer's Outing’ Kim Bora faces a major crisis.

SBS's Friday-Saturday drama ‘Mantis: The Murderer's Outing’ (written by Lee Young-jong, directed by Byun Young-joo) is reaching its climax. Viewers are expected to remain on edge until the end of the drama as the brutal serial killer ‘Mantis’ Jung Yi-shin (played by Ko Hyun-jung) and her detective son Cha Soo-yeol (played by Jang Dong-yoon) work together to catch the perpetrator of a ‘Mantis’ copycat murder case that occurred 23 years ago.

In the previous episodes 5-6 of ‘Mantis: The Murderer's Outing’, the outline of the copycat murder case perpetrator was revealed. The perpetrator appears to be ‘Kang Yeon-jung’, a child who was abused by the victim brutally killed by Jung Yi-shin 23 years ago. Now an adult after 23 years, ‘Kang Yeon-jung’ is likely living as a woman after undergoing gender reassignment surgery. This raises questions about whether ‘Kang Yeon-jung’ is indeed the real perpetrator of the ‘Mantis’ copycat murder case and who exactly ‘Kang Yeon-jung’ is.

Meanwhile, on September 25, the production team of ‘Mantis: The Murderer's Outing’ drew attention by revealing a scene where Cha Soo-yeol's wife Lee Jeong-yeon (played by Kim Bora) is in an unprecedented crisis, just a day before the broadcast of episode 7.

In the photo, Lee Jeong-yeon is seen collapsed on the floor with her hands tightly bound in the dark. As curiosity rises about the black shadow in front of her, the red blood flowing from her forehead and the various wounds on her face amplify the sense of unease. Additionally, her eyes, wide with fear, and the unidentified hand targeting her create a chilling atmosphere.

Previously, Jung Yi-shin warned Cha Soo-yeol that Lee Jeong-yeon was in danger when he faced the prime suspect Seo Gu-wan (played by Lee Tae-goo). In fact, when she escaped from the retirement home, the person Jung Yi-shin went to find was his daughter-in-law Lee Jeong-yeon. Just as Jung Yi-shin warned, Lee Jeong-yeon is now in danger.

In this regard, the production team of ‘Mantis: The Murderer's Outing’ stated, “In episodes 7-8 airing this week, a full-scale confrontation will unfold between Jung Yi-shin and Cha Soo-yeol against the copycat murder case perpetrator. In this process, Lee Jeong-yeon, who is the most precious to Cha Soo-yeol, falls into great danger. As this is a crucial scene that heightens the tension of the drama, actress Kim Bora poured all her energy into delivering a detailed performance. We ask for the viewers' interest and anticipation.”

Who is the person that has pushed Lee Jeong-yeon to the brink of death? Could it be the perpetrator of the ‘Mantis’ copycat murder case? Will Lee Jeong-yeon be able to escape the crisis safely? How will Lee Jeong-yeon's crisis affect the joint investigation of Jung Yi-shin and Cha Soo-yeol? With numerous questions left unanswered, anticipation for ‘Mantis: The Murderer's Outing’ is heightened as it airs on the 26th at 9:50 PM.
