Actress Hwang Seok-jeong talked about the flower farm she operates.
In the episode aired on the 22nd, KBS2's ‘Park Won-sook's Let's Live Together’ featured Hwang Seok-jeong alongside Park Won-sook, Hye-eun, and Hong Jin-hee.
On this day, Hwang Seok-jeong revealed that she is running a flower farm. When Hong Jin-hee asked about the farm's income, Hwang Seok-jeong replied, “It’s still in the red. The initial investment for starting a farm is much higher. I keep making mistakes and trusting others too much, which leads to many failures.”
Hwang Seok-jeong said, “I am doing as much as I can handle alone. I do everything from spraying pesticides, watering, pruning, cleaning, to shipping by myself. So if the scale gets bigger, I can't manage it.”
When Hye-eun asked, “Why did you decide to run a flower farm?” Hwang Seok-jeong answered, “I didn’t want to be someone who directly grows plants. I wanted to live there, create a play about plants, and take care of the plants I grew to heal my mind. I have stress, and my body feels strange because of it.”
Hwang Seok-jeong continued, “People said, ‘You won’t last more than three years,’ but I am still doing it. I thought, ‘This really suits me,’ and I got so caught up in it that I’ve come this far. But fundamentally, no matter how much labor I put in, seeing the flowers bloom makes everything worthwhile. That’s why I’m still doing it.”
Meanwhile, ‘Park Won-sook's Let's Live Together’ airs every Monday at 8:30 PM.
