Trot singer Park Seo-jin's self-funded 'Mungyeong Team Building Event' was a great success, and Jeon Yu-jin, who lost in the king competition, brought laughter by promising to pay for the next gathering.
The MBN entertainment program ‘Hanil Top Ten Show’, which aired on the 6th, recorded a peak viewership rating of 6.2% in Bundang and a national rating of 5.7% (according to Nielsen Korea), demonstrating its power by ranking No. 1 in viewership among all Tuesday entertainment programs aired on terrestrial, comprehensive, and cable channels for seven consecutive weeks.
On this day’s broadcast, the second king of ‘Current King of Trot 2’, Park Seo-jin, led a 'team building event' in Mungyeong, Gyeongsangbuk-do. Participants included Park Seo-jin, Jin Hae-sung, Shin Seung-tae, and Choi Soo-ho from ‘Current King of Trot 2’, as well as Jeon Yu-jin, Mai Jin, Kim Da-hyun, and Byeol Sarang from ‘Current King of Trot 1’, who showcased their talents through food broadcasts, a swinging bridge karaoke, and busking at Mungyeong Saejae, providing unique laughter, emotion, and healing.
First, Park Seo-jin arrived at Mungyeong Station by KTX with Jin Hae-sung, Shin Seung-tae, and Choi Soo-ho. Jin Hae-sung excitedly said, “I will eat three servings for Enok, who didn’t come today, and for Mungyeong hyung. Today is chicken day!” and the members burst into laughter, saying, “It’s cheating day.” Park Seo-jin revealed that he had prepared a full-course trip with 100% of his own money and even gifted new shoes to the large vehicle, creating a warm atmosphere.
The first team building event in the beautiful and scenic Mungyeong began with a food broadcast. Park Seo-jin took Jin Hae-sung, Shin Seung-tae, and Choi Soo-ho to a restaurant, where the three ordered a generous menu including pork belly, grilled deodeok, and the traditional Mungyeong dish, jokbal stew, saying, “Park Seo-jin is treating us.” The members were amazed at Jin Hae-sung, who performed the magic of eating half a bowl with each spoonful, and when Shin Seung-tae praised his food review by saying, “It’s like Dae Jang Geum,” Jin Hae-sung shrugged, saying, “I’m not just an average eater.” Although Jin Hae-sung expressed regret, saying, “I can’t eat much these days because my stomach has shrunk,” he was delighted by Shin Seung-tae’s comment, “Then just eat two bowls,” which brought laughter.
Afterward, Park Seo-jin led the members to the Bongmyeong Mountain swinging bridge, and when Jin Hae-sung requested to be carried because it was difficult, he showed his fighting spirit. Eventually, Jin Hae-sung received a penalty of ‘eating dinner 30 minutes late.’ Then, a mission was given where one current member had to sing the first verse of a song while collecting ribbons with dinner ingredients written on them, which were hanging all over the swinging bridge. The members screamed while standing on the shaking bridge with a transparent floor below. Especially, Jin Hae-sung, who immediately knelt down upon arriving at the swinging bridge, crawled and barely managed to bring back just one ribbon while Shin Seung-tae was singing ‘First Car,’ drawing complaints.
Park Seo-jin, holding onto the railing to the tune of Choi Soo-ho’s ‘Barley Hill,’ brought back multiple ribbons, while Shin Seung-tae, listening to Jin Hae-sung’s ‘If You Wish,’ demonstrated his skill by retrieving several ribbons while only looking ahead. Choi Soo-ho, who ran out saying, “Trust me, guys,” quickly dashed and brought back most of the ribbons, but failed to return before the first verse of Park Seo-jin’s ‘Olle’ ended. Consequently, Park Seo-jin requested to acknowledge Choi Soo-ho’s ribbons and attempted again, successfully retrieving the ingredients while singing along to Jin Hae-sung’s song.
Meanwhile, at the same time, Jeon Yu-jin, Mai Jin, Kim Da-hyun, and Byeol Sarang emphasized that they came to Mungyeong instead of a gathering in Hannam-dong because “Park Seo-jin is busy.” The four said, “Let’s bill the receipt,” and bought premium Korean beef by parts, inhaling it, and after purchasing beef for everyone to eat, they were taken aback by the enormous bill they received.
However, they eventually laughed, saying, “It’s the first team building event of Top Ten Show, so it should be okay to eat.” Soon after, the four met Park Seo-jin, Jin Hae-sung, Shin Seung-tae, and Choi Soo-ho, who were experiencing pottery at the traditional Mungyeong workshop, Bongjeongyo, and Jeon Yu-jin handed over the bill, saying she had prepared a special gift for Park Seo-jin. First, the male members of ‘Current King of Trot 2’ raised the heat with ‘A Friend Like Medicine,’ while the female members of ‘Current King of Trot 1’ performed ‘Song of the Song.’ The first performer, Jin Hae-sung, received cheers with ‘Ddaengbeol’ accompanied by a firefly dance, while Kim Da-hyun sang ‘Soyanggang Maiden’ to applause. Mai Jin performed ‘Not Knowing Others’ and Shin Seung-tae stirred up excitement with ‘Three Thousand Li of Mountains and Rivers.’ In the king competition, Jeon Yu-jin presented a special show with ‘The Woman’s Mascara,’ while Park Seo-jin performed ‘Dollido’ with a drum.
In the following duet stage, Shin Seung-tae and Park Seo-jin sang ‘The Woodcutter,’ while Mai Jin and Jeon Yu-jin sang ‘You Are the Best,’ earning thumbs up. Jin Hae-sung and Choi Soo-ho proved the essence of ‘Authentic K-Trot’ with ‘Flower Petal Love,’ and Byeol Sarang burst the atmosphere with ‘Odongdong Taryeong.’ Finally, everyone sang together, changing ‘Busan’ to ‘Mungyeong’ in ‘Seoul Daejeon Daegu Busan,’ expressing gratitude to the audience who supported their busking. Park Seo-jin and Jeon Yu-jin delivered a beautiful harmony with ‘Now Just Trust Me,’ concluding the final encore stage.
Then, a barbecue dinner prepared by Park Seo-jin was served, and the members had to eat quickly while Jin Hae-sung, who received the ‘30 minutes late eating’ penalty, could not eat. Eventually, after 30 minutes, Jin Hae-sung started eating, leading the ‘Incredible Eating Show,’ and all the members expressed their happiness, saying, “It melts in my mouth.”
In the ‘Image Game,’ the honest feelings of the current members were revealed. Jeon Yu-jin and Shin Seung-tae were chosen as “people whose first impression is different from the current one,” and Park Seo-jin pointed out Jeon Yu-jin, saying, “I thought she had a mature and sophisticated image, but she eats meat and dances...” making everyone burst into laughter. When asked, “If you had to change your appearance with one of these people?” Choi Soo-ho pointed to Park Seo-jin, saying, “If I change faces with Park Seo-jin, wouldn’t I earn 100 million?” and Park Seo-jin shouted, “(If I were to change) it’s my appearance before 100 million,” causing more laughter.
