Actress Song Ha-yoon has repeatedly denied allegations of school violence, but a victim and a witness have emerged.
The SBS program ‘Curious Story Y’ aired on the 5th, covering the school violence allegations against Song Ha-yoon from 21 years ago.
On this day, the first informant of Song Ha-yoon's school violence victim, Mr. Oh, appeared on the show. Mr. Oh expressed, “I received a text. They said I was registered on the wanted list due to non-compliance with the investigation. I was so dumbfounded.”
Mr. Oh stated, “(Song Ha-yoon) comes on TV pretending to be nice. She is creating an image as a lovely person, and no matter how I think about it, I wondered how a person could do this. I was angry.”
Mr. Oh recalled the time he was bullied by Song Ha-yoon. He claimed, “In the summer of 2004, I got a call and was summoned during lunch break, and I only remember getting slapped by (Song Ha-yoon). I think she only hit me with her right hand.”
Mr. Oh revealed that he was called out to the playground and was slapped without knowing why. The assault lasted for 90 minutes and stopped after the bell for the fifth period rang.
As Mr. Oh's revelations became public, criticism towards Song Ha-yoon intensified. Ultimately, Song Ha-yoon temporarily suspended all activities. However, about a year and three months later, Song Ha-yoon filed a complaint against Mr. Oh with the police, starting her rebuttal.
Mr. Oh expressed, “I was so dumbfounded. When they said they would take legal action, I responded immediately. The victim has to remain silent because there is no evidence to counter this.”
The ‘Curious Story Y’ team met with the victim of the group assault, Mr. Kang. Mr. Kang said, “I had friends I was close with. But when Song Ha-yoon transferred, she caused discord, leading to an argument. After that, I was unilaterally beaten.”
Mr. Kang also claimed to have been assaulted by Song Ha-yoon. He stated, “I had a 4-week medical treatment, so I couldn’t attend school. My high school life was completely ruined because of Song Ha-yoon. Even now, I think it was very cruel.”
The ‘Curious Story Y’ team approached Song Ha-yoon's legal representative, but was told, “I do not disclose my position in an uncoordinated meeting.” However, the legal representative later reiterated that the allegations of school violence against Mr. Oh were not true.
The ‘Curious Story Y’ team sought out a witness, Mr. Jeon, who witnessed the school violence against Song Ha-yoon. Although Song Ha-yoon's side claimed there were no witnesses to the incident, the ‘Curious Story Y’ team found a witness who was present at the scene.
Mr. Jeon was surprised to see Mr. Oh being hit right in front of him and directly intervened with Song Ha-yoon. He recalled, “I think she hit with one hand while cursing. People around tried to stop it, but it continued. I still remember that his face was red, and it was obviously not a situation where he could resist.”
Mr. Oh stated, “If she had apologized at first, this wouldn’t have come to light. If she had said sorry when it first came out, it would have ended there. But after the second incident and the group assault, she went silent and then sued me a year later. (Song Ha-yoon) shows no signs of remorse.”
