The members of ‘1 Night 2 Days’ and the band Day6 have perfectly synchronized in this entertainment show.
In the episode aired on the 31st of last month on KBS2's entertainment program ‘1 Night 2 Days Season 4’ (hereafter ‘1 Night 2 Days’), the second story of ‘Welcome to the Real Variety Show!’ featuring the members of ‘1 Night 2 Days’ and Day6 members Sungjin, Young K, Wonpil, and Dowoon was depicted.
The viewership rating was 6.0% (based on Nielsen Korea nationwide), ranking first in its time slot. A scene where Dowoon, who lost in a game of chance, reminisced about his days in a goshiwon while eating only rice and kimchi, contrasted with the winning team enjoying a hearty meal with plenty of meat, which peaked at a viewership rating of 8.8%.
The Dojin team (Kim Jong-min, Moon Se-yoon, Lee Joon, Sungjin, Dowoon) and the Youngpil team (Jo Se-ho, DinDin, Yoo Seon-ho, Young K, Wonpil) continued the ‘Count Up Relay Speaking’ game for three lunch meal vouchers and a mung bean pancake. The competition ended with a decisive 5:1 victory for the Youngpil team, and the Day6 members were very satisfied with their first delicious meal on ‘1 Night 2 Days’.
After finishing their meal, the ‘1 Night 2 Days’ team and Day6 boarded the bus again and chose one of the two tourist courses, ‘B’ and ‘D’, to embark on a chance-based tour. The ‘B’ chosen by Jo Se-ho, Lee Joon, DinDin, Sungjin, and Wonpil was ‘Boat’, and they enjoyed a happy tour while riding a boat and feeling the cool sea breeze.
In particular, Lee Joon, who had experienced the misfortune of climbing Hallasan with the same mission during their Jeju trip, felt an even greater joy. Main PD Joo Jong-hyun also congratulated him, saying, “Joon really avoided something tough for the first time in a long time,” and an emotional Lee Joon shared his hardships in Jeju with Sungjin and Wonpil, continuing his excitement.
The ‘D’ chosen by Kim Jong-min, Moon Se-yoon, Yoo Seon-ho, Young K, and Dowoon was ‘Deck’, and the five of them set out for a deck trekking under the scorching sun in over 30-degree weather. Witnessing the B course team comfortably enjoying their tour on the boat, they tried to pretend to enjoy themselves and attempted a mental victory, but they could not hide their rising disappointment.
After the tour, the ‘1 Night 2 Days’ team and Day6 moved to the base camp. During a break, Kim Jong-min taught Dowoon, who cited him as a role model, how to do a windmill and even personally guided him in leg stretching training to enhance flexibility.
Gathered outdoors for the dinner meal game of chance, the ‘1 Night 2 Days’ team and Day6 entered the ‘Day6 Arcade’ game, competing for beef and pork barbecue in a best-of-three format. As in the previous mission, a team competition between the Dojin team and the Youngpil team unfolded, with the first round ‘Mission Karaoke’ ending in victory for the Youngpil team.
In the second round, a ‘Dance Speed Quiz’ competition was held where each member followed the dance in the video in a relay format while posing questions. The dance relay of the Day6 members, which had not been easily seen on the show, began, and while Young K showcased his skilled dancing, Sungjin, Wonpil, and Dowoon provided laughter with their endearing clumsy dance.
The second round ‘Dance Speed Quiz’ competition, where the Day6 members shone, also ended with a victory for the Youngpil team, achieving a complete victory in the dinner meal game of chance. The winning team of Jo Se-ho, DinDin, Yoo Seon-ho, Young K, and Wonpil enjoyed a hearty meal with plenty of meat, while the losing team of Kim Jong-min, Moon Se-yoon, Lee Joon, Sungjin, and Dowoon had to eat only kimchi as their sole side dish.
After finishing dinner, anticipation builds for what game the ‘1 Night 2 Days’ team and Day6 will play for the sleeping arrangement game of chance, and what mission will conclude this trip on the second day.
