WWD KOREA has released the cover photoshoot for its September issue featuring actor Lee Jong-suk. This photoshoot captures the actor's solid yet elegant charm amidst the lyrical mood unique to autumn.
In the photoshoot, Lee Jong-suk showcases both restrained charisma and a sensuous atmosphere within sturdy tailoring and a muted color palette. The softly diffused light and gentle shadows emphasize his deep gaze and relaxed poses, further highlighting his unique presence.
In a subsequent interview, he revealed a calm inner self and mature attitude despite his busy filming schedule. Regarding acting, he said, "In the past, I used to find answers by worrying alone, but now I learn through collaboration with others. I honestly ask about my shortcomings and seek help when needed. The very attitude of wanting to learn new things ultimately leads to growth."
He defines maturity not merely as the accumulation of age but as a matter of attitude, emphasizing, "I strive to be a predictable person and maintain relationships with a sincere attitude." He also mentioned that this attitude has led to greater inner peace and positive influences from those around him.
As a message he wants to convey to himself, he stated, "'Overcome it, it's not over yet.' During tough times, it's important to comfort oneself and to believe in oneself and move forward even amidst difficulties."
Regarding his upcoming project 'The Remarried Empress,' he said, "It's a genre that is not commonly attempted in Korean dramas. At first, it felt unfamiliar, but I participated purely because it was fun. If 'Seocho-dong' touched on a comfortable daily life, 'The Remarried Empress' is truly dopamine itself," expressing his anticipation.
The full photoshoot capturing Lee Jong-suk's diverse charm and in-depth interview will be exclusively released in the September issue of WWD KOREA. Various content such as moving covers and making films can be found on WWD KOREA's YouTube, Instagram, and official website.
