Broadcaster Lee Kyung-kyu and singer Young-tak are reuniting for ‘Gae-hul-ryung’, which will unveil today (9th).
KBS2’s ‘Dogs are Amazing’ (hereafter ‘Gae-hul-ryung’), which has led the dog culture in South Korea, is returning upgraded to match the era of approximately 15 million pet owners.
This time, ‘Gae-hul-ryung’ is coming back with a military academy concept, teaching how to live ‘well and kindly’ with pet dogs. It enhances the quality of education through diversified advice from various teachers and 1:1 customized training for problem dogs.
In particular, the introduction of the ‘homeroom teacher’ system will create a friendly competition among trainers to take charge of the homeroom for problem dogs, providing both tension and fun. Viewers can also look forward to supporting new trainers, from legendary trainers to rising stars.
The principal of the military academy is Lee Kyung-kyu, the ‘dog father’ who has led ‘Gae-hul-ryung’ for a long time. Joining him is trot singer Young-tak as the head of the academic affairs department.
Lee Kyung-kyu will utilize the know-how he has accumulated in ‘Gae-hul-ryung’ to perform as the principal of the military academy. True to his title as the national ‘dog father’, he is expected to provide sharp advice to pet owners and delve into the inner thoughts of problem dogs.
Young-tak, as Lee Kyung-kyu’s right-hand man, will also take on roles in trot entertainment and acting production, showcasing his all-rounder capabilities. He expressed his ambition to ease the tension between pet owners and problem dogs with his unique cheerful and bright energy, while also playing the role of a mood maker with some sharp criticism.
The ‘Gae-hul-ryung’ production team stated, “From their first meeting, Lee Kyung-kyu and Young-tak showed a perfect chemistry as if they had been working together for a long time, which impressed everyone,” adding, “The chemistry between the two will enhance the viewing experience.”
‘Gae-hul-ryung’ will air on the 9th at 8:30 PM.
