Broadcaster Kim Kyu-won has signed an exclusive contract with CP Entertainment, a comprehensive entertainment subsidiary of Coupang, signaling a greater leap forward. With this, Kim Kyu-won will be working alongside Shin Dong-yeob, Lee Soo-ji, and Ji Ye-eun.

Having made a strong impression on viewers through Coupang Play's comedy show 'SNL Korea' Season 5, Kim Kyu-won became the center of attention with his fearless parodies and vivid portrayals in Seasons 6 and 7. He earned the nickname 'Human Copier' for his chillingly detailed mimicry that seemed to transport the character directly onto the stage.

In particular, in a parody segment of 'Black and White Chef', he perfectly recreated the character's gestures and speech, leaving the audience in awe. In the segment 'Weekend Update', he appeared as 'Kim Jong-eung', a North Korean expert who defected, capturing attention with his incredible chemistry. Additionally, in the highly popular Season 7 segment 'Smile Clinic', Kim Kyu-won showcased his unique presence. Set in a dermatology clinic, this segment elicited laughter with its subtle power struggles among staff and realistic dialogue, where Kim Kyu-won delivered both tension and humor through his performance as a customer requesting a procedure not recorded in the charts, leading to conflicts among the staff.

Kim Kyu-won, who made his official debut in the entertainment program 'Comedy Big League' in 2023, has now taken flight through 'SNL Korea', laying the groundwork for his leap forward. He is gaining attention for his clever ideas that enhance the segment's character, his charming visuals, and his sophisticated image, drawing focus to his future endeavors with CP Entertainment.

Kim Kyu-won expressed, "I am really happy to sign an exclusive contract with 'SNL Korea', which has been part of my growth, and with the long-established CP Entertainment. I really like the nickname 'Male Lee Soo-ji', and it feels even more special to be working alongside senior Lee Soo-ji," and added, "I will strive to repay the support with innovative characters and substantial laughter that can resonate with the public."

CP Entertainment stated, "We are delighted to be working with actor Kim Kyu-won," and added, "As he shows talent and charm in various fields, we plan to actively support him to explore even more possibilities in the future."

Meanwhile, CP Entertainment, a subsidiary of Coupang, has expanded its activities into content production and talent management since its establishment in 2023. Major productions include Coupang Play's 'SNL Korea' and 'Office Workers'.
