Actress Shin Eun-kyung expressed her gratitude to Park Won-sook.
In the KBS2 broadcast of ‘Park Won-sook's Living Together’ on the 11th, Shin Eun-kyung visited Park Won-sook, Hye-eun, Hong Jin-hee, and Yoon Da-hoon.
On that day, Park Won-sook said, “I went to Chuncheon to film the drama ‘What Do Women Live For’. At that time, Shin Eun-kyung was 18 years old. After I finished filming and was about to leave by car, Shin Eun-kyung asked me, ‘Can you give me a ride?’ However, I refused because our destinations were different. Every time I see Shin Eun-kyung, I feel sorry about that.” She later became interested in Shin Eun-kyung after seeing her in the drama ‘General Hospital’ and the movie ‘Gangster's Wife’.
Shin Eun-kyung praised, “I am very introverted to the point that I can’t even start a conversation with others. But Park Won-sook makes others feel comfortable. The fact that I could ask for a ride shows how much Park Won-sook is a considerate and understanding person.”
Shin Eun-kyung, who regarded Park Won-sook as an idol, said, “When I was going through a very difficult time in my 40s, Park Won-sook called me. She said, ‘Come to my place for a moment,’ so I went to her home. Park Won-sook said, ‘I heard what you said on the broadcast and I’ve heard about you from others. You’re going through a lot, but you’re trying hard to live. What more needs to be said? I will help you.’ She took my hand and we went to a local ATM. She gave me millions of won.”
Park Won-sook recalled, “I still remember what Shin Eun-kyung said when she appeared on the variety show ‘Healing Camp,’” indirectly mentioning Shin Eun-kyung's financial struggles, her sick son, and the controversy over plastic surgery. She added, “At that time, I didn’t even have Shin Eun-kyung’s phone number, so I inquired through the actors' union. When I revealed my identity, they gave me her number. I really understood her difficulties, which is why I did that.”
Shin Eun-kyung expressed her gratitude, saying, “Park Won-sook handed me the money and told me to leave quickly. At that time, there was no one else like that. It was only Park Won-sook. I will never forget it for the rest of my life.”
