Model and broadcaster Jung Hyuk is set to surpass the 'food champion' Lee Jang Woo on ‘Do You Know Home-Cooked Meals’.
In the first episode of the Taiwan special airing on the 30th, Lee Jang Woo introduces Jung Hyuk by saying, “I invited a friend to Taiwan. He loves cooking, enjoys sharing meals, is friendly, and is good-looking.”
In response, Jung Hyuk expresses his excitement for the trip with Lee Jang Woo, saying, “I’ve been on a diet in Korea, but today I’m letting loose. I really love eating, so I have high expectations.” He hints at indulging in Taiwanese food with his signature ‘one-bite mukbang’ and Lee Jang Woo comments, “When it comes to eating a lot at once, he seems to be number one in Korea,” revealing Jung Hyuk as a ‘big mouth’ in the mukbang world.
Jung Hyuk shows confidence not only in his appetite but also in his language skills, stating, “Leave the communication to me. If you have any questions, these days AI can handle everything.”
In contrast, Lee Jang Woo, who admits he cannot speak Chinese, surprises Jung Hyuk with his unexpected language skills in front of food. He actively asks the restaurant staff about the names of dishes and places orders smoothly, prompting Jung Hyuk to ask, “Hyung, why are you so good at Chinese?” which brings laughter to everyone.
Meanwhile, Jung Hyuk, showcasing his friendly nature, embarks on a guerrilla mission to find home-cooked meal friends in Taiwan by confidently asking the restaurant owner, nearby diners, and street citizens if they know any home-cooked meals. As he joins the home-cooked meal journey, it raises curiosity about what kind of home-cooked meal mates he will meet, even without a common language, thanks to his ‘social butterfly instinct’.
