Comedian Lee Soo-ji shared her experience of being scammed in a housing fraud worth 400 million won.
On the 14th, while appearing as a guest on KBS Cool FM's 'Park Myung-soo's Radio Show', Lee Soo-ji revealed, "I lost all my assets while trying to purchase a house in Paju, Gyeonggi Province in 2023."
Host Park Myung-soo cautiously asked, "I heard you were scammed in a 400 million won housing fraud in Paju in 2023. Did you get your money back?" To this, Lee Soo-ji smiled and said, "Let's talk about good things on good days, why bring this up?" and then revealed, "I received 0 won. I was too hasty."
In response, Park Myung-soo expressed his concern, saying, "We need to think about why the government grants licenses to real estate agents."
Lee Soo-ji reflected, "I had to move out quickly and was anxious because I was about to give birth. I also pushed things too hard," showing self-blame.
Additionally, she mentioned, "There was someone who accompanied me to see the house, but it turned out that person was not a licensed real estate agent; it was their spouse who was a licensed agent," adding her story of not being legally protected.
Previously, Lee Soo-ji appeared on the YouTube channel 'Chop Chop' last August and said, "I was severely depressed last year due to the scam," adding, "I'm usually a bright person and don't have depression, but I was so depressed last year that I wondered if I should see a psychiatrist," sharing her difficult feelings.
Recently, she also expressed her distress about the incident again while appearing on MBC's 'All-Seeing Companion'.
