Singer Choiza revealed that he turned down a multi-million won store promotion offer.
On the 9th, MBC’s ‘Radio Star’ featured guests Heo Young-man, Choiza, Lee Guk-joo, and Park Eun-young.
On this day, Choiza expressed satisfaction with the lineup of Heo Young-man, Lee Guk-joo, and Park Eun-young. He said, “I feel like a fan. I love Heo Young-man’s comics so much that I wanted to meet him at least once,” and expressed his desire to be invited to ‘Food Traveler Heo Young-man’.
He continued, “I have an inner closeness with Lee Guk-joo. There are people who have a pig in their hearts, right? I feel fond of those who love to eat. And among the people I know, she eats the most deliciously,” he said.
Choiza is known as the ‘young Heo Young-man’ among the MZ generation. He stated, “I have been running ‘Choiza Road’ for 8 years. I am currently in season 10.”
Regarding how he finds good restaurants, Choiza said, “There are various ways. Basically, there are local foodies in every neighborhood, and I trust them. Eventually, a network forms as foodies become friends and a community is established.”
He added, “Dynamic Duo has many regional events. We travel around the country visiting good restaurants. It would be a waste to just work, so we visit good restaurants. As a result, I have accumulated a long list of good places.”
When Yoo Se-yoon said, “I heard Choiza received a multi-million won offer while introducing a restaurant,” Choiza replied, “When I first started ‘Choiza Road’, it began to gain popularity. At that time, they said, ‘We opened our meat restaurant, please come and promote it. We’ll give you 300 million won,’” surprising everyone.
He continued, “I was tempted, but I thought it wouldn’t be right to accept food sponsorships for eating shows. We have received alcohol sponsorships, but never food sponsorships. I think accepting food sponsorships would diminish our sincerity. It feels like betraying the foodies,” which drew laughter.
